(Concrete Masonry Units)
PROUD BASALITE SUPPLIER
Precision Concrete Masonry Units are the most common, and perhaps most versatile, of all Concrete Masonry Units. Texture is an “as molded” finish, produced by vibration during manufacture. Choice of bond pattern or mortar joint finish can subtly alter a wall’s appearance, and various block sizes and colors can be combined for a more dramatic wall pattern. Precision Concrete Masonry Units are available in the widest selection of types and sizes.
Ground Face Concrete Masonry Units facilitate the creation of quality aesthetic and structural designs as varied as your imagination. Cured blocks are ground to achieve a smooth finish that reveals the natural color of the aggregates.
Slump Concrete Masonry Units are designed to simulate adobe. These CMUs are rich and rustic in character, as well as durable and structural, and are utilized for both interior and exterior projects. Slump block is available in a variety of colors and sizes, all meeting ASTM specifications.
Massive and monolithic, rough-hewn and rugged, the look of exposed aggregate. Basalite Split Face Concrete Masonry Units resemble stone, yet offers a wider choice of aggregate and color combinations. These custom masonry units are available split on one or more faces.
Scored Concrete Masonry Units are manufactured with one or more vertical scores on the face to simulate additional mortar joints in the wall. Scored units reduce the perceived scale of the masonry, while still allowing construction using full sized units. The scores are molded into the face of the unit during manufacture.
Concrete wall caps can be placed on any wall to add protection and beauty. Basalite caps come in a range of shapes to give you an aesthetically pleasing, finished look.
Combed Face Concrete Masonry Unit facilitates the creation of quality aesthetics and structural designs. With a vertically rough furrowed face, this Concrete Masonry Unit creates an attractive shadow effect appropriate for both small and large-scale projects.
Fluted Concrete Masonry Units consist of vertical ribs which align to form continuous vertical elements in the finished wall. The ribs are created from a special mold.
Shotblast Concrete Masonry Units expose some aggregate, leaving a textured finish that is rougher than a precision or groundface unit, yet not as rugged as a splitface unit. A subtle balance is achieved and a new look created.
